Information about Mia
Hi, my name is Mia, and I currently have the availability to take on new students.
My strong academic background qualifies me to assist your child in any of the humanities subjects to GCSE, and to A Level in Latin, Greek, History and English. I achieved 12A*s at GCSE, 3 A*s at A Level, and hold a Double-First degree in Classics from the University of Cambridge, where I specialised in ancient literature and philosophy.
I have 5 years of experience tutoring a range of students at all levels, aged 7 to 87! During this time, I have come to understand the flexibility required to work with different learning styles, and consequently am able to cater my lessons to your child`s methods, abilities and interests.
In the subjects of Latin, English, History and Classical Greek, my success rates are all high, with even the most stubborn of learners eventually pulling through and fulfilling their potential under my guidance. I have also had success with school entrance exams, with my students winning places at prestigious schools, such as Kings College Wimbledon and Westminster.
In 2019, I worked as an Easter Revision Tutor at MPW college in London. The purpose of my role was to equip students for their upcoming exams in a very short space of time, covering, revising and correcting both subject content and exam technique in preparation for their imminent GCSE and A Levels.
Availability: I am available on a daily basis, and prefer to arrange weekly sessions for consistency, which benefits both me and my students. My schedule is generally very full, and so I advise booking lessons in advance. Although in a normal environment, I am willing to travel to your home, with the ongoing issue of the Coronavirus, all my lessons will be taking place over Skype. This measure helps to protect not only me, but also your child and your entire household.
Willing to travel: 50 miles
Experience: I have tutored extensively, privately and with schools, and have a valid DBS check. References from previous parents and employers are available on request. Please do feel free to let me know if you have any further questions.
