I am a specialist Dyslexia teacher and assessor. I have been in the field of special educational needs for 13 years.I have a high success rate teaching pupils to read as well as helping them to develop their skills in writing and comprehension. I also teach Maths.My pupils successfully build up their awareness of how they think and learn best (metacognition)and can transfer the strategies they have learnt into the classroom.I am able to diagnose dyslexia.Dyslexia assessments available and prices on request.

Availability: Currently available Thursdays and Fridays for tuition or assessments. Can also offer assessments at weekends. Will have more availability in January. I am willing to tutor in your child`s school, if the school is local to me and with their permission.I would be able to discuss with your child`s class teacher effective strategies that can be used in class.

Experience: I have extensive experience of teaching pupils with literacy difficulties. I have worked with pupils who have a variety of learning needs. I make my lessons fun and use the pupils own interests and learning preferences to accelerate their progress.
