Toby

Hi, I`m Toby. I`m currently studying Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge, and I would love to help you with your studies. My area of expertise is Maths and Science - I`ve been studying these for several years now and I`m constantly learning and aiding others. In my free time, I enjoy rowing, playing the trumpet in brass bands, and mountaineering in the countryside.

I`ve had a lot of experience assisting fellow and younger pupils. I have also formally tutored local students, across a range of ages, in Maths and Chemistry. Most of my tutoring has been in-person, but I am more than comfortable delivering lessons online as well.

Everyone learns in different ways and I ensure to tailor my tutoring to each student`s specific needs. I have a very friendly and highly flexible teaching style. I have previously found the best results when students work out in advance the area they would like to focus on for a given lesson. It is very useful for me to receive an exam paper or worksheet that I can work through with the student. I find that solving examples with the student is a great way to build a strong foundation of knowledge. A range of homework can be provided and marked on request.

I am a current university student, so the experience of GCSEs and A-Levels have not yet faded from my mind. I have first hand knowledge of how to prepare for and sit these exams.
