I graduated from the University of Oxford in 2018 (French and Italian). After university I was accepted onto a graduate scheme for Not For Profit organisations where I worked for a couple of years in social care, supporting adults with learning disabilities. During Covid I returned to university to retrain as a teacher.

I chose to train as an English teacher rather than a languages teacher because I love the creativity involved and the chance to focus on texts. My favourite part of teaching is boosting confidence and understanding each individual student`s learning style.

I particularly enjoyed my role as a form tutor and have also had additional roles to organise trips and extra-curricular activities for GCSE students.

I am also almost finished an MA in English Education with UCL where I have focused on: teaching Shakespeare, teaching poetry, students` perception of exam boards, creativity in the classroom, the role of talk in the classroom.

When not teaching I enjoy travel, reading, and cooking!

Experience: I was an online tutor 2020-2022 before completing my QTS at UCL as a secondary English teacher.
I then taught English full time, in East London. I`m now focusing only on tutoring.

I have experience teaching mixed ability students in line with the AQA exam specification. I`ve taught students with a range of needs, students needing to retake, high attaining students and SEN students.

As a private tutor I have worked with primary school children as well as students who have moved from abroad and have needed to catch up or adapt to the UK system.

I`ve supported students with personal statements, general university admissions and Oxbridge applications.
