Nastasia

Nastasia is a classical pianist and a piano teacher. She is currently doing her Masters in Music Education and she has already completed a BMus in one of the world’s leading conservatoire, Royal Northern College of Music. After that she did a PGCE in Specialist Instrumental Teaching (piano) and Secondary Music at RNCM and MMU. She is based now in Manchester where she is studying, teaching and having concerts. Nastasia being born in a musical family started learning the piano and cello at the age of five. Having a musician mother made her realise in a very young age that she wanted to become a professional pianist.
She has taken part in numerous competitions and received several awards, including the “Technique Award” at the 5th Cyprus Steinway Competition. At the age of eleven she passed Grade 8 piano, and at the age of sixteen the LTCL Recital Diploma. This allowed her to start her teaching career from a very young age.
Having studied piano with Panos Messis and Olga Efimova at Musical Horizons Music School in Limassol she is now continuing her studies in RNCM with Sally - Anne MacLeod. Additionally Nastasia has taken part in numerous master classes conducted by world famous musicians such as: Stefano Fiuzzi, Fali Pavri, Richard Egarr, Betty Gaitanou, Martino Tirimo and Yuri Kot.
Nastasia has performed with a number of soloists and has given many chamber music recitals as well as solo performances. Currently she is playing in a piano trio called “The Arc Trio” and at the same time is an active accompanist, cooperating with various instrumentalists.

Availability: I have a very flexible schedule and I am available on both weekdays and weekends (morning/afternoon/evening).

Experience: 2019-2020: I have been teaching piano at One Education Music Service, Sale Grammar School and Priestnall High School as well as KS2, KS3 andKS4 music,
2017-2019: As part of the Keyboard Pedagogy course I have been teaching children for the past one and a half year in local primary schools and in RNCM.
2015-2018: I have been privately teaching piano, theory and musicianship to children and adults of various abilities and experience in music. I have experience in preparing students for ABRSM and London Trinity College exams as well as for auditions for various music institutions.
2016-2018: Leading music workshops at "Tsirio Public Summer School" in Limassol for children (ages 3-12).
