Information about Daniel

Maths/Chemistry/Biology tutor, Chemistry BSc (Hons).
I am an IT consultant (Application Operations Engineer) and I have a strong academic background with a passion for tutoring.

Teaching / Tutoring Experience:
- 8+ year experience,
- Provide oversea students in Dubai, Germany, Zimbabwe and China with tailored advice and specific training in order to prepare their Baccalaureate, in Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology (A-level equivalent)
- Helping adults wanting to travel the world improve their written and spoken English skills, and overcome foreign language anxiety
- Train teenage students for Grammar School Entry Exams (11+ to GCSE equivalent)
- Train and monitored students in their university applications for Medicine and Dentistry with UKCAT tutorials and help with their personal statements. All got in their first choice as well

My approach:
I believe that 1-on-1 tutoring, online 1-2-1 or small groups are the best approach in order to help students reach their potential and beyond. In my experience, you can achieve more progress in a few hours than in a whole term of regular classroom attendance. The key point is adaptability. A great tutor is able to motivate students by directly relating to them, and strives to promote critical and creative thinking. He grabs their attention, to show them that the subjects being presented are more than empty diagrams surrounded by walls of text. Personally, during my curriculum, very few teachers have managed to truly spark my interest. But the ones who succeeded have had a tremendous impact on how I now see the world, and how I approach teaching and learning.

Please don`t hesitate to get in touch!

My daughter has been receiving A level maths tuition from Daniel for a number of weeks. He is very well organised and approachable. He has been able to assist my daughter with any issue requiring clarification or explanation from the simplest to the most complex questions she might raise. This has helped improve my daughter`s confidence as well as ability and hence I would rate Daniel very highly.

Daniel started tutoring my son in maths for the start of the Year 11 academic year. I think Daniel expected a student who was ready to learn and keen to try and who actually wanted a maths tutor of his own free will, as I hadn`t mentioned my son`s lack of enthusiasm for having a maths tutor in my advert. Nevertheless, despite Daniel having a clear and obvious work ethic and being faced with a student who absolutely did not, he tutored my son from September up to shortly before the exams in June and happily my son DID pass his GCSE Maths! Don`t think he would have done so without Daniel`s support.

I have purposefully waited to fill in the feedback form for Daniel as it was sent to me after my son had only one session, however he has now had several sessions and feels as if he has learnt a lot, Daniel has improved his motivation and his understanding. sessions are well planned and well tailored to suit individual needs. We are extremely happy to have found Daniel and would not hesitate to recommend him to others.
