I am both an English Language and English Literature teacher. I have over twenty five years` experience of teaching in Comprehensive Schools and I have been a private teacher now for ten years.
I tutor students of all ages and abilities in all areas of English Language and Literature, including KS3/Functional Skills, GCSE/IGCSE, ESPOL, A level, IB, Degree level and in the workplace.
I prepare students for all types of written and oral examinations, interviews and UCAS. I have substantial experience working with all examination boards.
I thoroughly enjoy working alongside students and have the knowledge and teaching skills to improve their grasp and appreciation of their particular English topic or issue.
I have enthusiasm, patience and a good sense of humour! I am able to create a productive rapport with students and am always happy to give detailed feedback to parents/guardians as appropriate and required.

Availability: I usually teach from my home in Southsea but am willing to travel to a student`s home if it is within the city of Portsmouth and Southsea area. I teach during the day and early evenings.
I am also offering an online service for students.
