I retired from full time teaching a few years ago and have some time available to tutor GCSE (KS3 and 4) students as well as KS2 (Y6) students. I specialize in tutoring students who struggle with Maths or have lost confidence. I can draw on my experience teaching full time at High School and as a primary school teacher before that. I have recently worked successfully with a KS2 student seeking a Maths scholarship for entry to a public school. I have also helped students raise their GCSE level to level 5/6. I live in a rural area and am prepared to travel up to 15 miles.

A note about fees: My current fees are £25 per hour but, due to increasing travelling costs and time, I add an additional £5 per hour if I have to travel more that 7 miles from my home address. For students prepared to be tutored in my home, the the hourly tutoring rate could be reduced to £20 (parents need to make suitable arrangements for drop off and collection).

Availability: Fairly flexible at the moment i.e. during the day weekdays and weekday evenings.

Experience: Teaching in primary schools 4 years. Teaching in secondary schools 9 years. Tutoring privately 4 years.
