Qualified Maths teacher with over 25 years experience teaching a wide range of students from secondary school through to university postgraduate level. I am an enthusiastic, dedicated and caring tutor.
As a tutor, nothing is more rewarding and enjoyable than helping students grasp new concepts, gain in knowledge and confidence, and see them develop their academic potential.
My tutoring style is highly supportive, tailoring individual learning plans for every tutee based upon their needs.
I also offer on-line tuition, please contact me to discuss how I might help your child improve their confidence and grades in Maths.
Availability: Weekday afternoons 16:00-19:00

Experience: I have over 25 years experience of tutoring, teaching and lecturing, from secondary school through to postgraduate level.
In recent years, I have taught Mathematics to all ability sets in Key Stage 3 and GCSE year groups. I am also experienced working with Gifted & Talented students, as well as those that have SEN and EAL status.
Based in Camberley & Frimley, I have tutored students from Tomlinscote, Collingwood, Gordons, SJB, Woking High, Winston Churchill and many independent schools.
In addition, I am also an examiner (Specialist Marking) for GCSE Mathematics.

Yin was a fantastic tutor for my son, he was massively behind due to COVID and needed to achieve a certain grade in Maths for college and Yin was brilliant with him and he got the results he required which was a huge achievement. I would recommend Yin very highly.

Yin is warm, friendly, professional and well organised. Her experience of working in schools shines through and she knows what to focus on and explains things patiently and effectively. My son has increased in confidence and I can see that he is more motivated and keen to practice. A very good tutor.

My son has been tutored by Yin for a few weeks and has found her to be excellent. He feels that she explains and simplifies Maths to make it easier to for him to understand. She is also friendly and approachable. He finds the worksheets she goes through with him helpful and he is very happy with the sessions.
