My background:
I am an experienced A Level and GCSE teacher and tutor offering one to one tuition. I have experience working with students at all levels including those retaking Mathematics and Science GSCEs and those seeking A’s and A*’s to achieve places at the most competitive Universities.

My Approach to tutoring:
I aim to work collaboratively with students, developing an individualised approach to build confidence, ability and exam technique. Through regular informal assessment and discussion I work flexibly with students to identify strengths and weaknesses and develop these areas, whether they are in subject knowledge and understanding, approach to problem solving or study skills. I also make regular use of web based resources, especially videos and simulations, to help explain ideas and to offer students the opportunity to explore and reinforce their learning outside of sessions.

Availability: I have some availability throughout the week, weekdays and evenings. Please contact me to arrange a mutually suitable time.

Experience: I have taught in Sixth Form Colleges for six years working with students at a range of levels my main experience is in teaching A Level Physics but I have also had experience teaching GCSE Science and Mathematics. I have worked as a Gifted and Talented co-ordinator and as a result have experience supporting and guiding students through preparation and applications to highly competitive universities. I have also tutored part-time for over three years and my students have consistently improved in confidence and also achieved significant increases in marks on unit resits.
