Hi, my name is James and I`m a first year Mechanical Engineering student at Imperial College London. During my time at school, I achieved 10 A*`s and an A at GCSE level, and 5 A*`s at A level in Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Chemistry and French.

I specialise in tutoring maths up to GCSE level, as I love the challenge of finding new ways and analogies to explain ideas to students in order to help them better understand the topic at hand and furthermore the subject in its entirety. I have found that the best way to learn is through experience with different situations and problems, and so my teaching style focuses on lots of practise through different questions which I believe to be very engaging for students.

I like to tutor in a relaxed and friendly manner, helping in particular to improve students` self-confidence in being able to tackle any question or problem. In this way, I love tutoring as not only is it great to help students in fulfilling their potential and obtaining the highest grade possible, but I also love being able to pass on my knowledge and experience, furthermore sparking an interest for maths in them.

As I went through GCSE`s not too long ago myself, students find me approachable, friendly and relatable. I have tutored several students at GCSE level in subjects including Maths, Science and French while studying for my A levels at school.

Availability: I am currently available at any time. From October, I will be available anytime outside of 9-5, Monday-Friday.
