I am a Mathematics and Philosophy student at the University of York with over two years of experience teaching in both a one-to-one and a classroom environment. I have worked as a teaching assistant at a Saturday school and as a tutor at a tuition centre, covering a wide variety of material from the 11+ to GCSE level.

Everyone learns in different ways and a lack of specialised teaching can lead students to believe they lack the talent needed to engage with a subject, especially in one like maths. To support this I am offering a free first session which will be solely dedicated to learning about the pupil, what they struggle with and where they aspire to be. This will be used to create a tailor-made experience for each of my pupils, highlighting their strengths and targeting their weaknesses.
