Currently, I am a teacher in the North-East of England. I have been part of a school that went from a Grade 3 (Requires Improvement) to a Grade 2 (Good school). At my new school, we are seeking to be Outstanding.

I have taught children who started the year below year expectations and helped accelerate learning and progress to get them on track. I teach Maths in a practical, problem-solving way in order for children to really understand what complex questions are asking of them. With regards to SPaG, I have created innovative and fun games to help children learn complicated phrases and names of grammatical features which in terms aids them with their writing. I base all writing lessons around a text to enable children to become fully immersed in a topic of their own choice to help them learn. I love a challenge and allowing children to discover the importance of books and discover a passion for reading is something that really gives me pride in my job to facilitate learning.
