I am a film lecturer and English trainer. After studying French at Kings College London, I worked as an English translator and teacher in Paris for three years. I was awarded a skillset bursary to study film postproduction at the London Film School and worked as an editor for film and TV for 8 years before undertaking a PhD in Film by Practice at the University of Exeter. I was awarded my Doctor of Philosophy in January 2020 and have since taught film studies at Manchester Metropolitan University, the London Film School and the University of Warwick whilst continuing to work as a practitioner.
