I am passionate about how young people learn and want to give them the best possible life chances. I am an Deputy Headteacher in charge of Quality of Education and I was previously Head of English, so can support students in GCSE, or students at KS3 who require extra support. The school I lead is in the top 2% in the country. I am able to provide your child with relevant support based on current curriculum changes and exam board advice.

I am happy to travel locally to tutor, to tutor in my home or online.

Availability: I am a highly qualified English teacher. I completed my degree at King`s College London and Sussex University, before undertaking my MA/PG Dip in journalism. Following my decision to enter the teaching profession, I trained at the prestigious Institute of Education. I have been an English teacher for 19 years and have been rated outstanding.

Experience: Currently l am a Deputy Headteacher (and was previously Head of English) at a school in the top 2% in the country for progress. I have 19 years of teaching experience and I am a committed professional who helps students to achieve great results. During my career I have worked with students of all abilities.

I have been a tutor for over 8 years and my students thrive and make huge progress and achieve top grades.


Furthermore, I am an accredited Cambridge moderator and I have previously been an examiner for AQA. I also regularly attend exam board meetings at WJEC (Eduqas). During my teaching career I have taught for all these exam boards.

My approach to tutoring is about tailoring my teaching to the individual needs of my students. My aim is to build confidence, skills, knowledge and fluency. I can use my experience to help students improve, or prepare for, coursework and controlled assessments, as well as final exams.

Alternatively, I can build student`s skills to help them prepare for the challenges of the new and demanding GCSE specifications, which students in Year 10 down will have to sit.
