Hi,

I`m one of those positive types, intuitive with a sensitive approach to my students. A qualified illustrator and practicing artist and tutor.

I truly believe we all have creative bones - and have yet to be proven wrong :)

I love sharing what I`ve learnt over the years via my sketching, travelling and exhibiting.

I live on the South Coast and have 2 cats in my studio home

Experience: A trained and qualified illustrator and practicing artist with other 20 years of art experience. Specialist areas are drawing, sketching and water colour.
Qualified in 1994 with HND, ND in Natural History Illustration and Design - Bournemouth and Poole College of Art and Design, ND in Fine art – Reigate , BA History of Art (OU)
I now run my own business of creative sessions for adults ( including Urban sketching, water colour, drawing and craft) – the emphasis is on the individual and adapting my approach to enable each person to feel ‘ they can do it’ I cover all levels and can start from the very beginning, taking a very relaxed approach so as to build confidence as well as technique.

I`m inspired by colour, travel, people and nature and I sketch absolutely everything. My sketches are the foundation for all other work I do. I have a very diverse range of styles and use many mediums to bring alive the experiences recorded in my Sketchbooks. My work ranges from pure illustration, ink and water colour, large scale semi abstract Ink pieces and oils.

Heavily involved with Bournemouth Arts By the Sea event.
Artist in residence with Yellow Bus company helping promote a new fleet of buses and the first Art Gallery Bus.
