Rashaine

Educated from a well professed Boarding School and a Top 20 University, Rashaine achieved a First Class Honours in Mathematics and Economics with an average of 83% across eight modules in the final year. As well as Rashaine`s academic achievements, he is kept active by his love for sports and his passion for travelling. Taking part in the Camp America initiative after his first year in university meant that he had to travel thousands of miles away from home, care for ten different children each week and become accustomed to a very different culture. As well as teaching me the art of patience it amplified my desire to understand the human psyche; how can people be so similar yet so different? And what can we do to cultivate the best environment for a developing mind? Repetition and relativity are the shorthand answers.

Experience: Rashaine has been tutoring ever since he found out that teaching was one of the best methods of learning. It allows you to articulate what you already know into your own words, an essential part of the learning process, and highlights the knowledge that is lacking. Throughout University Rashaine was a student ambassador, developing his communication skills with a wide range of personalities, and in his final year of University Rashaine was a personal tutor for the first and second year undergraduates. Upon leaving University he has started to give GCSE tutoring.
