Having recently completed a masters in maths from Oxford university I am looking to use my knowledge and love of the subject to help or inspire others. My sessions are perfect for any students who would like to get back up to speed after a summer away or who wants to get ahead and start the year on the right foot. This is particularly useful for students starting a new tier of education (i.e. GCSE or A-Levels).

Having been through the process myself I am also in a great position to help any student who is applying to read maths at university and would like to hone their interview skills or prepare for entrance exams such as the MAT.

Teaching and education will always play a large role in my life. I have experience working at summer schools (Etherton Education), helping build education software (Brix Learning) and I will soon be starting my new job at the department of education. These not only show my desire to help others learn but have given me invaluable teaching skills which I use to craft my sessions.

Availability: From the 4th until the 22nd of September I am available before or after school any day of the week and weekends.

Willing to travel: 10 miles

Experience: I spent 10 weeks last summer at Brix Learning designing A-Level maths teaching software which required me to have a deep understanding of the A-level maths syllabus. I designed lessons and filmed videos for the software, using the same techniques I use in my one to one sessions.

Etherton Education is a summer school for foreign students about to start A-Levels and I spent a month there helping them develop in many areas, amongst which was their maths skills. (Etherton Education).

I also tutored GCSE maths while I was completing my A-Levels.
