I am an enthusiastic and experienced language teacher specialised in German, Italian, Latin, and Biblical Hebrew. With a rich background in academia, I served as a university lecturer for seven years. Since 2018, I have dedicated myself to teaching German, Italian, Latin and Hebrew at all proficiency levels.

I am particularly skilled in preparing students for key examinations, including GCSE (National 5), A-Level (Higher) and IB across various boards such as AQA, EDEXCEL, SQA, and more. Over the past six years, I have successfully guided numerous pupils through these critical assessments.

Our journey begins with an initial assessment to gauge your current proficiency. Through conversation and a brief reading exercise, I quickly ascertain your starting level. Availability: As I really love my job, I am generally available on almost all days.

Experience: I have extensive teaching experience at all levels. This includes 7 years of university teaching as well as several years of helping school students prepare for GCSE, A-Level and Scottish Nat5 and Higher examinations.

In addition, I enjoy working with adults at all levels, ranging from those wanting to learn the basics for travel to those who need to become fluent for professional purposes.

A key feature of my teaching is that I tailor my methods and lesson plans to the needs and goals of individual students. Each person learns best in their own way and I am there to support them every step of their own learning journey.
