Information about Hong
I am a qualified, experienced and enthusiastic maths teacher with 12 years experience in teaching GCSE and A Level Maths and Further Maths for a large Sixth Form College. Before I qualified as a maths teacher in 2007, I had worked for UK universities and industries for 10 years. In addition to the support and tuition I give to individual students in my daily teaching role, I have tutored numerous GCSE and A level students who have all improved mathematical understanding and skills, enhanced depth of knowledge and achieved the grades they desire. I thoroughly enjoy my tutoring experience and feel very much rewarded when my tutees have reached their target grades and achieved full potential in the subject.
My tutoring approaches mainly are: identify levels and needs, set phased goals, employ interactive and effective strategies, make good use of own interest and learning an enjoyable journey.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: Having worked as a maths teacher for the past 12 years, I am familiar with the old and new GCSE and A level maths specifications, syllabuses and exam requirements. Committed to effective teaching and learning, I write schemes of work for different maths units, plan lessons and develop my own teaching resources, some of which are published on TES website with good reviews. I have received highly positive comments from my students and tutees about their learning experience and achievements in the subject.

I had one session, however I decided against a gcse tutor
Ms Hong is a very adequate Maths tutor who provides clear explanations so that the information is easily understood. She is also very supportive and therefore I would highly recommend her to anyone.
