Hello!

I am a professional singer and vocal coach graduated in BMus Popular Music Performance (Singing) with First Class Honours. I am currently studying a Masters in Jazz Singing at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music & Drama. In addition, I graduated in BA (Hons) English Linguistics & Literature in 2013.

Therefore, I teach:
- Singing lessons
- Spanish lessons (my native language)
- English as a foreign language

1. SINGING TEACHER:

One of my passions is exploring the most complex musical instrument of all: the human voice!

I believe everyone can reach their maximum potential by discovering the characteristics and uniqueness of their voice. It does`t matter whether:

- you are a Beginner who wants to start singing just as a hobby
- you are a Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced singer who wants to step up and take it to a professional level

I would love to help you on this journey!

My lessons:

- How your voice works (Anatomy: the larynx)
- Posture
- Warming up exercises
- Breathing exercises
- Registers: chest voice, mixed voice, head voice.
- Expanding your vocal range
- Voice qualities: speech, sob, twang, falsetto, belt...
- Performing skills: Learn how to perform different musical genres, become stylistically aware.
- Build your repertoire (bring songs of your own choice to work on them)
- Composing: do you need any help with any of your own compositions?
- Record a Demo of songs we have been working on and brag about your singing to your friends ;)

2. SPANISH / ENGLISH TEACHER:

As well as music/singing, languages are also my passion. That is why, apart from my music studies, I also studied a Bachelor degree in Linguistics & Literature. This allowed me to gain knowledge in morphology, syntax, phonetics, literature and history. Besides, it provided me with invaluable help to understand the theories behind second language acquisition and learning.

My main goal is to help and guide my students through the exciting process of learning a foreign language and help them to achieve their targets while enjoying the journey. I use several types of resources to make my lessons enjoyable and dynamic.

Being a language learner myself (Spanish is my native language and I learned English as a foreign language) I have a very good understanding of the tools and process of learning a foreign language. Having gone through this process myself, I know that with a positive attitude, practice and good guidance it can be an enriching and life-changing experience!

Whether you need help with your Spanish/English to prepare for your exams at school or you would just like to learn/improve the language for either professional or leisure purposes, I can help you by tailoring our lessons to your needs and goals.

Experience: For the last seven years I have taught Singing / Spanish / English lessons to adults and children of all ages and levels across various nurseries, primary and secondary schools as well as private lessons.


SOME HIGHLIGHTS:

- I have collaborated with renowned Spanish concert, film and TV composer Fernando Velazquez as well as with the Basque National Orchestra, taking part in various movie and theatre soundtracks.
- I have taken part in a recording project together with Grammy award winning vocal ensemble New York Voices.
- I am lucky enough to have had the following renowned vocalists as my teachers/mentors: Tina May, Jenevora Williams, Brigitte Beraha, Clare Wheeler, Emma Smith, Linda Hutchison.
- Venues/events in which I have performed include: The Jazz Cafe, O2 Shepherd`s Bush Empire, O2 Academy Islington, Under The Bridge, The Shard, The Natural History Museum, Victoria Eugenia Theatre (Spain), Donostia Festibala (Spain).
