Aside from being the lead chemistry teacher within a mainstream successful secondary school, I am the head of KS3 Science at a school in Loughton. Having tutored pupils (both in groups and 1-1) I have ensured that they secure high grades and have helped numerous pupils take the next step onto their A-levels or university degree.

I have always aimed for my pupils to be constantly challenged in addition to SEEING the benefit of what they are studying and how it ties in to what they might want to do later on in life. A student who can pick a concept up with some prompting will always have a greater understand of the concept than simply being spoon-fed. I focus heavily on exam techniques and breaking down complex questions, which is particularly common in A level Chemistry.
