Hi! I`m an English Literature graduate from the University of Leeds as well as a qualified teacher. Having been trained at an award winning secondary school, who have recently been named the best English department in the country by the TES organisation, I draw on expert knowledge to help guide pupils towards the highest possible achievement. Most recently, I have helped pupils jump 4 grades, from a 5 in their November mocks to a confirmed 9 in their 2023 GCSE results.

I have been tutoring for seven years, and have completed over five hundred hours of online tutoring with MyTutor. At GCSE, I achieved 10 A* grades and 2 A`s, so I fully understand what the examiners are looking for in achieving high grades, and raising predicted grades to a point of excellence. My areas of expertise include The Gothic, Shakespeare, and poetry.

I have a developed understanding of grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and syntax, and can explain these concepts clearly and concisely. As a tutor, I am patient, empathetic, and able to adapt my teaching style to the unique needs and learning styles of each individual student. I can identify areas of weakness and provide targeted feedback and guidance to help students improve. I am highly organised and able to create lesson plans that are engaging, challenging, and effective.
