Hi, I`m Alice - An enthusiastic and skilled English teacher living in Shrewsbury. I am an extremely positive teacher who aims to build the confidence of students in lessons. The first lesson will be diagnostic; it is essential to create a personalised overview of every student`s needs and lessons are tailored to every student`s individual learning style. It can be nerve-racking to work with a tutor, so my lessons are friendly and relaxed, as well as focused.

Experience: I have experience teaching at both secondary level and at A Level. I have very recent experience of teaching A Level English Literature, A Level English Language and GCSE English Language resit. My results during the 8 years I have been teaching have been excellent: my GCSE English Language resit results are consistently and significantly above the national average; last year 85% of my students achieved a level 4 or above, with many of these students achieving well above this (including one level 7). This is well above the national average in mainstream GCSE Language (70%) and resit GCSE English Language (33%). My most recent A Level results were also excellent, with 89% of students achieving A*-C grade (which is above National Average for a Sixth Form College of 79.6%) and a consistent 100% pass rate over the last 4 years.
