Qualified Secondary Mathematics Teacher. Have taught GCSE and KS3 Maths for the last 6 years in secondary school. Specialise in Foundation Tier GCSE Maths and KS3.

Experience: I have a range of experience across the education spectrum, but have the most experience teaching KS3 and KS4 mathematics. The part of my job that I enjoy the most is supporting learners that need that little bit extra guidance to enable them to reach and exceed their potential. Building the confidence of the learner, understanding their individual needs and tailoring the learning to their interests is probably one of the most satisfying experiences as a teacher.
My approach to tutoring is learning centred. Through discussion with both the parents and their child, it becomes clear the learning approach I should take to ensure the student engages fully and gets the most from our tutoring sessions.

Really pleased with this tutor. Daughter very happy with him, looks forward to the lessons and always happy afterwards. She seems less anxious about impending exams so mother very happy too. Very pleasant, straightforward, highly recommended

Joe has been an excellent tutor for my daughter (year 10). He’s been encouraging and supportive and has set her appropriate levels of exercises and past paper exam questions to build her confidence.
