A bit about me.

I always ensure my lessons are engaging and adapted to the needs of the student. It is extremely important that my students feel like they are able to ask lots of questions and that I can encourage their inquisitive minds.

Availability: I am available to tutor online Friday evenings and Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Willing to travel: 10 miles

Experience: Currently, I am a full time Biology and Science teacher, I work in a non selective school which has students with a broad range of abilities, therefore, it is essential that I am able to differentiate my lessons to the individual requirements of each student.

I also have a broad background working in the Science industry, I worked as a Diagnostic Radiographer, this role allowed me to gain many transferrable skills required to be an excellent teacher. These skills include excellent communication and collaboration skills, attention to detail and to develop good working relationships.

Additionally, I also worked as a Pharmacy Technician which also has many transferable skills to teaching. Including ability to clearly teach and explain to customers how to take their medicine safely, high attention to detail, being very organised and responsible for my own work.

Furthermore, while I was studying Radiography I applied for the peer mentor role, which involved assisting first year students with any areas of academic studies in which they might be struggling. Other roles of this job involved helping students holistically and to offer advice to the challenges that university life can have. I found this role rewarding and enjoyable and was one of the reasons I wanted to pursue a career in full time teaching.

Due to my vast and various back ground knowledge in Science academically and professionally, this has enabled me to teach students with passion and enthusiasm. I am a very helpful, hardworking and always strive to teach my students to the best of their ability.
