Information about Joss
I`m an FY2 doctor working in central London. I graduated from University College London in 2024 with an MBBS and a First Class BSc (Hons) in Cardiovascular Science, and have recently completed a PGCert in Medical Education.
During foundation training in Bedfordshire, I held a parallel teaching role supporting medical students from UCL and Cambridge University, which included involvement in medical student selection and curriculum design for the new medical school at the University of Hertfordshire. I`m now taking up a position as Clinical Teaching Fellow in Acute Medicine with Imperial College London Medical School. I`ve also developed a tutoring company AuroraMedics which provides free online resources and information to help students get into medical schools.
Alongside my clinical career, I hold additional qualifications in data analysis and AI machine learning. In 2025 I interned with the multinational energy company Veolia, working on large-scale language data analysis, before collaborating with University College London NHS Foundation Trust on a new data storage model to support observational research programmes.
Having served on medical school interview panels, I have direct insight into what admissions teams are looking for. For six years I have guided applicants from around the world through every stage of the medical school application process from personal statements and UCAS to interview preparation offering structured, experience-led support tailored to each applicant.
Availability: I try to keep regular lesson times wherever possible if needed. I offer international teaching sessions as well so can accomodate irregular / unsocial hours if required. Generally speaking I will arrnage lesson times a week in advance but can often accomodate last minute changes or additional lessons.

Feedback For Joss (4)

Very impressed by Joss. Excellent communication in setting up lessons and a programme of study and a friendly and knowledgeable approach. After a few lessons Joss suggested stopping as he felt my son was not benefitting sufficiently from online lessons. Completely agreed as my son is not that motivated in this subject generally and, after a year of COVID online lessons with school, fairly unenthusiastic about this method of learning. I very much respected Joss`s honesty (when he could have easily have just kept taking the money) and he made good suggestions for next steps. I am sure Joss would make excellent progress with the right student.

My Y11 (GCSE) son has had biology tutoring with Joss. My son found Joss easy to get on with from the start and I feel he enjoyed the fact that Joss is a medical student, which is something that my son is currently very interested in. Joss has been very punctual and prepared for the lessons, with materials (slides) and exam practise questions. My son has commented that Joss covered things such as exam/HW question techniques/points to remember which is great as these can be forgotten/slip even by the more able students. Although I initially contacted Joss for biology tutoring, it`s great that we now have a "go to person" for chemistry and maths too, should these subjects require a boost in the future.

Joss was absolutely brilliant. He came well prepared to our sessions using PowerPoint, exams questions and diagrams to help explain things very well. He also made their resources available to me outside of our sessions and with set homework, I was able to reflect on my progress throughout. With his strong educational background in medicine, he really knows his stuff and is able to make links to real-life which made understanding topics MUCH easier. Would definetly recommend!
