Katie

I am a qualified Primary school teacher based in Berkamsted. In 2017, I graduated from St. Mary’s Univeristy with First Class Honours in Primary Education with QTS. I am friendly, enthusiastic and have a real passion for working with children. I currently teach Year 1 and enjoy the flexibility of adapting lessons based on my pupils daily needs. I understand that children have different learning styles and are all unique. Making learning fun and memorable for each child is paramount. Maths is my specialist subject, however, I am more than capable of supporting children in reading and writing too. I am the subject leader of history and geography at my current school so I am happy to tutor for these subjects also.

Availability: I am available weekday evenings and Saturdays during the school term. However, please enquire for my most up to date availability.

Experience: I have worked with children since I was 15, supporting pupils with special needs at a performing arts academy. From then, I volunteered at my local primary school to gain experience before applying to university. I have worked with children in a Nursery and school environment for the past 7 years. I currently teach Year 1 and have taught both Key Stages.
