I believe that tutoring is not just about helping a child to understand a subject, but also about building up confidence. If a child has the belief that they can do something, they will begin to achieve results in their work.
I was a primary classroom teacher for 8 years, but decided to pursue my ambition to set up my own business. I now deliver workshops to primary school children,covering many historical periods.I missed the interaction with familiar pupils though, and decided to begin one to one tutoring. Because I am not spending a lot of my day in the classroom teaching teaching the core subjects, I feel fresh when I see my one to one pupils. I am approachable, and was once described as having the patience of a saint!

Availability: Sunday to Friday. Times to suit student.

Willing to travel: 4 miles

Experience: I have had 20 years experience of tutoring. In that time I have helped many students who have lacked confidence to become better equipped when faced with what they see as a difficult task. I have also helped many students through their entrance exams and SATS, by not just helping them to understand the work required, but also helped with organisation of planning and timings during exams.
