Im an Engineering PhD student at Imperial College and part-time tutor with 250+ hours experience in the last 3 years. I work mainly with A-Level students aiming for top grades and admission to top universities.
Availability: Typical availability will be weekday evenings however I can be flexible with timings and will always happily discuss options to find a suitable time that works for us both.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I specialise in teaching A-Level Chemistry across all exam boards with 3 out of 5 students in the past three years achieving A* grades in their final exams. In addition, I cover Maths, Further Maths and Physics at both GCSE and A-Level and I have previously worked with economics and business students with the mathematical aspects of their course, including undergraduate level. I can provide additional help with university applications (course and college selection, personal statement writing, interview preparation....) and have experience with both the SAT and GRE examinations for admission to universities in the USA at undergraduate and postgraduate level respectively.
I am experienced with many of the common exam boards and styles. My approach to learning primarily focuses on problem based learning and re-enforcing theoretical concepts through application and practice questions, although each student`s needs will vary. I also try to focus a significant amount of lesson time on past paper questions and exam technique.
