I have always been interested in supporting students in education no matter what level, that`s why I work in FE. Some students have been let down by the traditional high school approach but in college tutors are more respectful and understanding in supporting and guiding people in their quest to achieve a qualification, or just to feel more competent about their reading and writing.
You will swiftly realise that I am passionate about my subject and improving learners` skills no matter what level. Teaching in a number of different environments means that I am efficient and economical in finding the most appropriate solution, in order to achieve the best results in most situations for every individual.

Availability: I am available to teach from Monday to Thursday any time from 5pm until 8pm.

Willing to travel: Home Only

Experience: I have been teaching for about 20 years in a variety of situations in college, in the community and in the workplace in small groups, large groups and on a 1:1 basis. I enjoy supporting students of any ability and have been Qualification Leader for GCSE. I am currently studying for part of an MA in Dyslexia Research and Practice. I have a B.ED, PGCE, L4 Literacy Specialist and BA Hons 2.1 in English Literature and I am an Irlen`s Assessor.
I can also carry out an informal screening for SpLD type issues in your reading and writing.
