Hello! I am a qualified Secondary English teacher and AQA examiner with over 10 years’ tutoring experience and four years of classroom teaching across KS3, GCSE and A Level.

I hold a BA in English (University of Leicester), an MA in Classics and Ancient History (University of Bristol) and a PGCE from King’s College London. I am also CELTA-qualified and experienced in supporting EAL learners.

As an AQA examiner, I have detailed knowledge of GCSE mark schemes, grade boundaries and examiner expectations. I specialise in helping students:

improve essay structure and clarity

develop analytical writing

prepare confidently for GCSE exams

build vocabulary and reading skills

prepare for 11+ and 13+ entrance

My lessons are structured, supportive and academically rigorous. I focus on building confidence while ensuring students understand exactly how to improve and reach the next grade boundary.

I have worked with a wide range of learners, from high-achieving independent-school pupils to those needing additional support, and I tailor lessons carefully to each student.
