I`m a jazz pianist, composer and educator based in NW London, leading my own projects and performing extensively across the UK and Europe. Teaching is a highly important and enjoyable aspect of my career and I teach both classical and jazz piano, through both the ABRSM and Trinity syllabuses. In addition, I teach music theory and composition, as well as lessons for more casual students.
I`m a recent graduate from the Royal Academy of Music with a Distinction in my MA (Jazz Piano). Prior to this, I studied at Birmingham Conservatoire, graduating with First Class Honours in 2016. Through these experiences, I had many teachers, and learnt many different methods to help encourage development in my students.
In my own performing life, I lead my own trio Meraki - our debut release is in August on Ubuntu Music. I also lead my own sextet, formed in 2019 for a commission from Lancaster Jazz Festival. My debut album was a suite of original big band music, performed and recorded with Birmingham Jazz Orchestra. Meticulous planning, organisation and punctuality have been vital in the success of my own performing career, but these skills are just as necessary in my teaching commitments, setting a positive example to young musicians.
Availability: I have a flexible timetable, so can accommodate most lesson time requests.

Experience: I have been a 1-1 piano tutor for the past 8 years teaching students ranging from 7 years old to adults, beginners to current conservatoire students. Subjects covered include jazz/classical piano, music theory and GCSE/A-Level music support. I have taught through the entire ABRSM syllabus, and my students have a 100% merit/distinction result rate. My own personal studies have given me a flexible teaching style, with enthusiasm as the core value. Im still practicing and have my own goals as a performer, and this desire to keep improving and discovering often transfers to my students.
