Information about Connor
I am a 22 year old PhD student at the University of Southampton with a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Biomedical Sciences, graded First Class with Honours. Im also fun and engaging, and enjoy helping others to achieve their full potential.
Availability: As I do work within the lab full time as a researcher, my availability is limited to evenings and weekend.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I am incredibly passionate about biology, human biology and chemistry/biochemistry. I hold A-Levels in Biology, Chemistry and Maths (with stats) from Godalming College, at grades AAB respectively. I would be comfortable tutoring any aspect of general biology up to GCSE/A-Level, with more specific expertise in human biology, genetics, biochemistry and neuroscience up to degree level.
I do not hold any official teaching qualifications, however I do have tutoring experience from both college and university. During my third and final year at university I acted as a Biomedical Sciences mentor for a group of 10 first year students, who I regularly met with and held revision sessions for. I also teach undergraduates in various different lab sessions for 6 hours per week and so I am confident in my ability to teach younger individuals.
My research is focussed on genetics of the brain, so I have a great knowledge of all aspects of human biology, biochemistry, genetics and neuroscience. I am an incredibly passionate and enthusiastic individual, and so take academia and studying very seriously. Having completed my A-levels and undergraduate degree, I know full well the level of ability and work required for top grades, and would be proud to help others achieve their goals.
