Hi, I am a maths and science tutor passionate about building confidence by establishing solid foundations on which to build. Every lesson I give is bespoke, and tailored to age, ability and learning style.

I developed a passion for tutoring while establishing my business providing educational enrichment programmes designed to develop a deeper breadth of knowledge. I specialise in deconstructing mathematical and scientific concepts and teaching them in a creative, engaging and memorable manner.

My tutoring sessions are designed to inspire confidence by reinforcing and enhancing classroom learning. I ensure students have a comprehensive knowledge of fundamentals before exploring the applications of the topic, often beyond the curriculum.

I am DBS checked and offer a free, no-obligation introduction meeting.

Availability: Daytime and evenings, including weekends

Experience: I attained a degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Edinburgh, followed by 25 years in pharmaceutical research, where I applied science and mathematics to enable the discovery and development of new cancer treatments. I now run my own business as a specialist educational provider of scientific enrichment programmes, and I run Functional Skills Maths classes for groups of adults. I am a personal tutor for students studying KS3 and GCSE Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics, and for students studying A-level Biology. I am extremely proud to have a 100% pass rate.
