I am the Head of the Welsh department at a school in Bridgend where I teach pupils between the age of 11 and 18 in Welsh second language as well as A level students from another centre. I studied a Welsh degree at Swansea University before starting a career in teaching. I have a great balance in my relationship with pupils, am friendly and extremely hard working and pupils respond well to the methods I use which are tailored to each individual. I have thirteen years experience of teaching and ten years as a Head of Department.

I have taught at 3 different schools until finally finding where I`d like to spend the rest of my teaching career. I am also a WJEC examiner with seven years experience and support with a variety of initiatives within Welsh second language teaching across Wales. I have been fortunate enough to co-author textbooks and support websites too and provide resources and training conferences for Welsh teachers across Wales.

I am aware that every pupil is different and differentiate lessons daily to cater for all needs at school for the pupils I teach and pupils taught within my department. For those who attend tutoring sessions with me, I spend time to get to know students and find the best approach for them and ensure the most effective learning experience, which lead to positive results.

Availability: I am available on weeknights and on a Sunday.
I usually tutor at my home but I am also willing to travel depending on location.

I’m also available for online tuition via zoom - this has been working well to keep up to date particularly for students in between exams (years 10 and 12).

Experience: I have been tutoring for the last eight years. Pupils attending have included those at Primary level attending a Welsh medium school, Welsh Second Language GCSE and A level with excellent results.
I teach all A level modules at two sites and have developed a wide range of resources for the new A level specification, delivering this content during revision days at tailored days for groups of students.
