Information about Jade
Working for the Police Cadets has given me an extra insight for criminology and it has helped me, to encourage young people to think about the law in a less complicated way. The law is a very complex area and if not understood it can be very daunting, to be able to break down the complexities is a way that can reach a student is a vital skill i possess. I can tutor in a variety of subjects but my speciality is the law, I have helped previous students with dissertations, essays and academic writing.
I can tutor in Microsoft office and WordPress, my knowledge in this area has also helped me coach the elderly in the basics of a computer and legal phone calls.
Availability: I am now tutoring full time, so i am available seven days a week and I am available at short notice, I will always try and help, I research and make sure I understand what the student needs before I commit. This is why I provide an initial free chat in order to get to know the student and understand what it is that they need from me.
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: I have been tutoring, in my spare time for the past four years, I have learnt how to adapt to each individual. I have tutored individuals with disabilities and encouraged them to use other tools to enable them to reach their full potential in their studies.
I feel that every student, can reach their full potential and overcome any obstacle as long as they are taught in the way that reaches them. Everybody has there own learning style and spending the time to get to know what works and does not work for a student is essential.
I use different tools in my lessons, which i adapt to each student, this can be from, google docs, word, pictures, videos, sounds, tests, quizzes and homework.
I have also worked with students on revision and exam techniques and how to minimise the stress of these. Being a student myself I will be passing on my own techniques I used to cope with the demand of University and College.
