Ronan

A keen traveller, I grasp every opportunity possible to gain experience, study and work in different settings. I have participated in various cultural exchange programmes from an Erasmus study placement in Barcelona to a sustainability project in Freisland, Holland. I worked for a summer camp coaching soccer for young people experiencing emotional and behavioural difficulties.
I have taught students with English as their second language in two different countries and developed my teaching style to benefit these pupils in different ways. These experiences have equipped me with the skills to embrace the challenges of teaching different pupils in different situations.

I am also very interested in Special Educational Needs, enhanced through my study of ‘The pupil and the special school’ research module during my final year at university. Experience in a school which catered solely for special education needs was an insightful and rewarding teaching placement. I learned a great deal about how to make learning more accessible to pupils of all abilities.

Experience: My name is Ronan, a graduate Bachelor of Education student at St Mary’s University, Belfast. I currently work in London and previously I have worked in Madrid for three years, and for two years in Qatar. Since graduating I have tutored a wide range of pupils in all of the countries I have worked in and have seen the benefits one to one tutoring can provide.
