Hi,

My name is Usmaan.

I am currently a post-graduate law student with a wealth of teaching, and work, experience. From negotiating trade deals (whilst working for the UK Government), to working at the UK`s best law firm, I have come to understand how to put myself in the best possible position to achieve greater success in my eyes.

However, I also love to help others; whether that is with assisting the homeless, volunteering with the British Heart Foundation, or teaching students, I want the very best for those around me. As a former student, for many years, I am well aware of the different needs of each individual - if we were all able to learn the same way, why is it many of us struggle? This is what I aim to address with my students; whether they are primary school children, or university students, everyone is different and this means that teachers, and tutors, must adapt to their student`s individual requirements.

I truly understand how demanding your workload is. With every generation that comes in, you are considered the luckiest, but with more students each year, this means you must do even more just to remain competititve. This is at the cost of many items, including your physical and mental health. However, this does not necessarily mean the work is particularly hard, it may just mean you need more effective tools to deal with so many different subjects and activities.

But, where do you begin to find these tools? Like a toolbox, each item serves a different purpose and each academic subject, like Maths or English, demand different tools (such as mental maths or essay-writing skills). All this means is that I can easily teach you what it is you need to focus on, and use, in each subject (and topic area), so that you are ready to take on those exams.

__- For parents __-

All students can be taught, but not all teachers may be able to teach. This means that your child is never truly the problem; their minds are like sponges - they take in many positive elements, but they may learn, from others, that which may not truly benefit them. It is up to both parent and student to decide if the teacher is right for them.

I come from a family of teachers and we have taught students from many backgrounds, be it for extra support or to teach English to immigrants.
I have helped countless people, both young and mature, to progress further than what they imagined themselves capable. If I am not climbing mountains, I am writing a book to provide solutions to increase integration between the immigrant Pakistani population and the native British people.

Experience: Teaching experience:

- University law tutor for numerous international students providing weekend classes.
- Tutored KS1 and KS2 students, preparing them for grammar school exams.
- Tutored KS3 and KS4 students, preparing them for GCSE exams (and future college entry stands). Also provided support in gaining work, or internship, experience in relevant industries.
- Tutored A level students (History and Governement and Politics) and provided support through university admissions processes.

Academic and professional experience:

- 6 years currently working in law - studied LLB (Hons), LLM, LPC; worked at Freshfields LLP (Magic Circle) and Leigh Day LLP.
- 2.5 years working in UK Government - International Trade, Department of Health and Social Care, Cabinet Office, Department for Transport.
- Senior Advocacy Champion at the University of Leicester (beating 400 law students in legal competitions).
- Managed many students, as interns, during my careers, providing personal development coaching.
