Dear Student
I am Head of The Computer Science and ICT dept. in a heavily over-subscribed and successful school in West-Londod. I have experience in all the major computing and ICT qualifications including AS and A Level ICT, AS and A level Computing as well as BTEC Level 3 IT. GCSE Level qualifications include GCSE Computing and ICT.
Other qualifications I have similar experience in are DIDA, ECDL and CLAIT.

I have served in many capacities in my time as a teacher including Head of Department, Key Stage 5 coordinator, Learning Innovator and Academic Progression and Transition Coordinator. This means that I have a comprehensive knowledge of both curriculum and administration of teaching & learning.

Prior to my career as a teacher I worked in the IT industry. Two notable examples of which were my role of Webmaster at IBM and IT Consultant at The Dementia Relief Trust.

Availability: Evenings from 4:30pm and Weekends 9am-4pm

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: The key reason for my success both in the classroom and tutoring one-to-one is identifying the key strengths and weaknesses of my students and tailoring my teaching style and resources to the best and most appropriate approach for the student.
I also have a real passion for my subject and this transmits to my students and is hopefully infectious, motivating my students to push themselves to excel.
Being a current teacher responsible not only for my own students but those across my department, I am constantly refining my teaching and re-training according to the latest pedagogical research. In other words I use those methods and techniques which are proven to work.
