I am a very friendly and enthusiastic individual and in my teaching, I always strive to get the best out of people.

I have a Doctorate in Mammalian Genetics from Oxford University and a BSc Honours degree in Biochemistry with Pharmacology from Southampton University. In my career I have worked in Genetic and Cancer Laboratories and in COPD Clinical Trials at Novartis Pharmaceuticals.

I am very passionate about Biological Sciences and have had extensive experience teaching others throughout my career. This has ranged all the way from Key Stage 3 to PhD students. Since having children I have had over 5 years’ experience of tutoring A-Level Biology at home. From my experience and enthusiasm in teaching I believe I can offer a solid grounding for anyone wanting to learn more about Biology.

Together with the student, I will tailor each individual lesson to correspond with the student`s specific needs. For example, this could be to provide extra support during revision periods, making the student more ‘exam ready’ or, to aid concept learning throughout the year. I always endeavour to make my lessons fun and engaging and will always go that extra mile to help my student achieve the highest levels.

Availability: Weekdays and evenings
