I am an enthusiastic and friendly Spanish teacher, qualified (QTS) and by Instituto Cervantes, with experience in primary, Secondary (GCSE) an A-Levels in schools in the UK. Also experience in private tutoring all ages and levels.
I have specialized and focused on teaching language throughout my education and work experience to date. Working as an English Teacher in Spain allowed me to develop my own personal language skills at the same time as helping develop others, and re-enforced my passion for language teaching.I enjoy teaching languages and sharing my knowledge and experience with my students.
Do you want to learn or improve your Spanish? I can help you! I offer one-to-one and group Spanish lessons for children to adults, from beginners to advance. I can provide personalized lessons focused in speaking, writing, reading, grammar, business, leisure, etc.
Availability: At the moment I am available Monday and Friday, some other afternoons or evenings and also most weekends. I offer ONLINE LESSONS via Skype.
Gracias!
Willing to travel: 8 miles
Experience: At the moment, I have been able to further develop my teaching skills by acting as a Spanish Primary teacher in two schools (from January 2017) in Greater Manchester. I also work in a college (from September 2017).
Previously I have worked as a Cover/Supply Teacher and Teacher Assistant through various Educational Agencies in the North West.
During my first year in Manchester I had the opportunity of working in a High School in Manchester. I was granted a scholarship with the British Council to help promote foreign languages within secondary education, which brought me to the UK in 2013. The main aim of the scholarship was to try and encourage more native speakers into the classroom. I was given the position as a Language Assistant, which gave me my first taste of teaching my own language to students in the UK. It also allowed me to gain an understanding of the New Language Curriculum. During this time, I helped the MFL department in general planning and delivery of classes and really enjoyed this experience. I was particularly proud of The Spanish Club, which was a break-time and afterschool club which I set up, organised and delivered for students who wished to continue practising Spanish language and culture in their own time.
