Information about Elle
I am a secondary English teacher and 2nd in charge of the department with teaching experience across Key Stages 3-5. I have also had experience in teaching Key Stage 2 English/Literacy in primary schools as part of an outreach programme and experience in tutoring this age group.
I am a Senior AQA Examiner so I have up-to-date experience and skills in the current and previous GCSE specs. This includes training on the new exams.
Availability: In light of Covid-19, I will only be offering online tuition in order to meet the government guidelines on social distancing.
I have reduced my rates to: £25 ph for KS3, GCSE and £30 for ALevel- please not the overall fee will be slightly higher in order to include the commission taken by this site.

Experience: Alongside my school teaching, I have been tutoring five years now. I have experience teaching across all of the key stages from ages 6-17 and experiences with the following exam boards: AQA, iGCSE, Edexcel and WJEC.
I am a Senior AQA GCSE Language examiner and an AQA Literature examiner. This provides me with up-to-date training and insight on the current and GCSE exams. This experience is invaluable when tutoring your child to ensure solid exam technique.

Elle tutored my son for his English GCSE, both Literature and Language. At his mock he received a D for Language and an E for Literature. He passed both with an A for Literature and B for Language. Very good results, many thanks Elle.

I hired Elle to tutor English to both of my daughters, yr 9 and yr 4. My eldest had always been good at English but seemed to fall behind or lose interest in Yr 8 which manifested itself in lower report scores in Yr 9. My youngest was a bit behind in her reading level and grammar. Elle has been working with them both for just over 2 months and they have come on leaps and bounds! Elle is organized, friendly and my children adore her. My yr 9 daughter`s school teacher recently commented how much she`s improved in her work and contribution to class! They are both improving in confidence which is so important. It is really good that Elle can cover such a large age range. Thank you Elle!
