Information about James
Physics PhD student | 4 A*s: Physics, Chemistry, Maths & Further Maths at A-level | Track record: one student predicted EE in Maths & Physics -> CC and another predicted CD who got BC I have tutored students from Key Stage 3 all the way up to undergraduate level.
My PhD research is in Mathematical Physics, specifically looking at how gravity works near black holes, in which I have published eleven peer-reviewed papers.
Availability: I do not currently have any fixed commitments as I am a student so can work any hours.
Willing to travel: 4 miles
Experience: I have taught undergraduate students in many courses. I have also conducted outreach with schools in the area, which made me decide that I wanted to start tutoring.
I am a friendly and approachable teacher who enjoys helping students to push themselves. I am experienced at getting students to figure out the answer for themselves rather than just spoon-feeding them. As a marker for undergraduate homework I have a good idea of how answers should be structured.
I have tutored fifteen students to date.

I have only had a few lessons so far and am focusing on exam technique. James knows his subject well and explains things very clearly which has really helped my understanding. I would recommend him as a tutor.
