I have recently graduated with a 2:1 from Hertford College, Oxford reading English Language and Literature. I found the rigorous academic atmosphere of Oxford intellectually stimulating and this motivated me to cultivate my ability to read and study independently. I also enjoyed seeing this from the other perspective: working with my pupils to help them do the same.

The unique teaching style at Oxford - the one on one tutorials and small group tuition sessions - has been extremely valuable in developing my own teaching style: where each student`s individual goals and interests are centre-stage. I myself have learnt from every session I have given.

Having recently taken finals, and A levels only a few years ago, I am in good proximity to modern public exams and to university study. This combination means that I understand both the vital "exam technique" and "assessment objectives" as well as applying undergraduate study to these techniques. My dissertation on Renaissance tragedy has been invaluable to the skills needed in writing extended coursework essays, not only in English but in other humanities.

I am happy to tutor either students who wish to progress more generally in a subject over an extended period of time, or more short term for a specific exam or piece of coursework.

I will always listen to a pupil`s personal goals and tailor my sessions to their needs rather than follow a prescribed method. I аm аvаilаble fоr mаrking аnd feedbаck weeklоng tо prоvide suppоrt fоr my students tо give them the аbility аnd drive tо аchieve the best results they cаn.

Availability: I am available from 8th September onwards, and can tutor after 6pm on weekdays and most weekends.

Experience: I finished James Allen`s Girls` School in 2011 with A stars in all my four subjects, and have just graduated with a high 2:i. I have been teaching intermittently during university holidays alongside my academic studies.
