I am a great believer in adapting my teaching method to the particular student and my approach is to get to know my students personality type and understand the difficulties faced in their particular subject. Since everyone has different ways of learning I think open and effective communication between myself and my students is very important. I am passionate about life science I find that once students are engaged with what they are learning and realise why it’s important or useful they naturally begin to grasp the fundamentals which is what is needed to be successful in any sort of examination. The lateral “outside the box” skills come easier with complicated sections of the syllabus or tough examination questions once the fundamentals are strong in any subject. I cover the following subjects: Life sciences, zoology, biology, botany, biochemistry, biotechnology, genetics, molecular biology.
