I graduated from Durham University in 2014 with a high 2.1 in History and Politics. I`m hard working, enthusiastic and organised. I have been accepted onto the 2016 Teach First cohort to teach History at Secondary level. I live in Bedmond which is a short journey from St Albans, Watford and Hemel Hempstead. I am a keen musician (double bass) and I played in numerous ensembles and groups at school and university, including a successful soul function band. I am also an enthusiastic sportsman with interests in Rugby, Cricket, Football and Hockey.

Availability: I am flexible. The best times for me are during the week in the afternoons and evenings.

Experience: During my second year at university I tutored two students, completing over 40 hours of 1-1 tutoring. My first Tutee, who I tutored AS politics, improved from a C Grade at the beginning of the year to an A Grade in his January exam. My second tutee, studying A-Level politics, achieved an outstanding A* grade in his summer exams.

I have gained experience of working within schools, having completed work experience with my local primary school, Bedmond Primary School. I even gave a double bass performance to the whole school assembly.

I have good experience of working with children having worked on a number of summer schools and summer camps, as well as working for a children`s entertainment company called Sharky and George.
