Information about Jane
I am a Science teacher (now retired) with 15 years` experience in Devon Secondary Schools/6th forms. I specialise in Physics and have developed teaching of AQA Physics at A level and GCSE in schools. My students have achieved excellent examination results.
I will unlock the key to understanding difficult concepts in physics and help you with ways to memorise key points.
I am able to show you what physics examiners are looking for in your answers as I have been an examiner for A level Physics qualifications with Pearson Edexcel for 5 years.
I will help you to link your knowledge to the specification, to equations and to specific questions. Many marks are lost if a candidate is not sure what the question is actually asking and I will help you practise this. I will help you mark your work so that you understand the level of detail required in questions.

Jane is a great tutor. In just a few sessions she has renewed my son’s enthusiasm for physics. His teachers have commented on his new-found confidence in lessons. Jane was quick to respond and very flexible in arranging tuition times. Highly recommended.

We are really fortunate to have found Jane who we have been working with for two months on a weekly basis. She is tutoring my son A level physics. Due to the current situation and the need to socially distance the work is undertaken remotely. My son describes Jane as being kind and thoughtful and says it is obvious that she plans lessons and knows the syllabus. She purchased a specific book in order to specifically direct her teaching to my sons needs. She is aware of my sons development and what grade he is requiring for university. She undertakes exam questions with him and sets him some follow on tasks each week. She gives me feedback each week, telling me what areas have been covered. I have found her to be utterly reliable allied to a very pleasant manner. We did utilise the services of a previous tutor who although was also lovely did not have the knowledge, teaching skills and rigour of Jane .... hence our change!

Jane has been very reliable and extremely helpful with helping our daughter, and we can already see an improvement in her confidence. Our daughter really looks forward to her lesson with Jane.
