Information about Mo

A-Level, GCSE, KS3 Maths, further Maths and Physics Tutor. FIRST LESSON FREE

Mechanical Engineering graduate with a passion for teaching and passing on knowledge to younger students .

I have a year in industry as a mechanical engineer and a further year as a tutor for university level

My approach to tutoring allows me to confidently teach math and physics to all students from primary school up to A-Levels. I take a few aspects of leaning and use them tp provide tailored tutoring to the individual needs.

1) Providing context to the subject. I ensure the student understands why they are learning the topic, what problems they are stuck with and how to solve them using different methods. This makes sure the student clearly interprets the questions, leaving no errors or confusing when answering questions.

2.) Learning the fundamentals. All subjects in math and physics buildup from fundamental rules. . Teaching starts by understanding the fundamental rules of the subject once they are understood tackling and solving exam style questions is easier.

3.) Building on the fundamentals. Once the student gets a good understanding of the fundamentals a cycle of questions and reviews is then followed. These questions are technical ( on pen and paper) and vocal. Where the student answers verbal questions and explains specific topics to me as if I was new to the subject. This process is repeated until the student if confident in answering and explaining the subjects topics.

4.) Subject review. Once steps 1-3 are completed a brief review of the topic is conducted. Here we can decide whether to push onto more topics or gain a better understanding of the topic at hand or start revision planning and moving on.
