Information about Shadman
Hi, I am Shadman. I have completed a master`s in Mechanical Engineering with first class from Brunel University. I have a strong understanding of maths and science. Currently, I am working at Hampton High secondary school as a tutor and an assisting teacher, ranging from year 7 to year 11. In the past, I have worked in an Engineering company and another school as a PE teacher. Other previous work experience in teaching-related roles in my past involves working in Queensmead school and also completing 1st year of a Leadership Course; where I trained how to make a plan for lessons and put them in practice in a primary school.
I have always loved to help my classmates during my student life and have tutored some of my students during university. I am very passionate about teaching and a highly inspired, motivated, and approachable individual who wants to learn. I enjoy sharing my knowledge with those who needed it over the years. My school students like me a lot and they are always very motivated to do the work when they are with me.
I specialise in Maths (primary to A-Level) and Science (up to GCSE for physics and biology and KS3 for chemistry). I am happy to travel to you or online, whatever fits best for the student. I always go out of my way to help a student. If there is something I do not know when asked about, I come back to them either in the next session or communicate it through text.
Feel free to ask me any questions. I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you.
Availability: I am currently available from 4 pm every day after school and Sunday but flexible and I can accommodate all of Saturday without any issues.
During holidays (such as Bank holidays, Christmas, Easter) I am available the whole day including weekends.
Willing to travel: 20 miles
Experience: I have almost 7 years of teaching-related experience. I believe that every individual process and learn differently so I adapt and teach the way it will benefit my students. I am currently working in a secondary school where I guide students to effective learning and tutoring, especially the ones that are struggling. I have helped my mates when I was in school and college which gave me more confidence to do well. Now when I tutor my school students, I motivate them with my past experience so that they also help get confidence to do well.
Throughout my student life, I have tutored many students from school to University. In university, I was a student ambassador for the engineering department where I used to help school and college students in their induction day with their different tasks such as maths or physics. I used to go to colleges where I used to answer a wide-ranging variety of questions about higher education and help them with further maths.
In university, we had a study group where different years students used to come to me for help with their questions as such maths or physics-related, I used to explain and teach them how to do it and give them a different question to see if they really understood them. I am very happy to say that those students got very good grades in their exams and feel very proud of them.
